This Local Authority is committed to continuously developing the service they offer and place a strong emphasis on customer service through a pro-active approach to their work. The Highways Department maintains over 1,100 kilometres of highways, keeps it in a clean and safe condition for pedestrians, motorists, other road users and local communities.
A Highways Engineer is required within this Local Authority to aid with a number of small scale schemes that they are undertaking at the moment. Schemes include; Traffic Calming, Gateway Regeneration, Footways and Carriageway Improvements. The volume of work that they are undertaking at the moment means that you may be working on a number of schemes at any one time. The design work will be done with AutoCAD. The contract is for a minimum of 6 months.
